| Contacting your US Senator or House Representative and encouraging them to support Global FPIES Day contributes to the next step in our process of making FPIES Day an official National Health Observance Day.
According to healthfinder.gov, a National Health Observance Day is a special day, week, or month dedicated to raising awareness about important health topics. If Global FPIES Day becomes a National Health Observance Day, it will give the FPIES community a strong platform from which to advocate for specific changes for our affected children, such as formula coverage, as well as goals of promoting FPIES education for medical professional and the community as a whole. Join the movement and encourage government officials to Be the Voice alongside our empowered community!! |
Why personalize letters to Congress or awareness letters in general? When you personalize your letter with your family’s own unique message (or your professional message), it helps the recipient to put a “face to the name,” a face to the diagnosis of FPIES. It can offer a powerful impact as an emotional call-to-action when the recipient has a specific story in mind every time he/she thinks of Global FPIES Day, for example. For an extra special touch, your own photos may also be included. If submitting your letter through contact@thefpiesfoundation.org, please be sure to give your written permission for The FPIES Foundation to share your photo(s) with the individual to whom you have addressed the letter. Photos will not be used for any other purpose other than detailed in your written statement. |
